Kiwi Petes 'upside down' fencing tuition

Over the past few years we have been trying to unscramble the world of funding. Many of our future ambitions rely on the construction of a 6km deer fence around the perimeter of the land at a cost of around £60,000.  After draining a lot of energy we were getting nowhere, for now it seems as though our project is just falling through the gaps of available funding.  Time is pressing on to get trees in the ground so..... We'll build the fence ourselves!  Materials will still cost around £20,000 but slowly slowly we fell this is far more achievable and at least we can start to make 'hands on' progress.

So we had the great pleasure of some fencing tuition from a good friend, Pete Crawford, with help from Jackie, Simon and Beth.  Other than the mishap of the rylock being accidentally upside down (don't hold it against us, Pete is from New Zealand afterall) We all had a very very worthwhile experience and great to see the land bringing people together to share skills.  Thanks again Pete, what an invaluable set of skills.
